I landed in Chicago and hoped on the blue line from O'Hare Airport. As soon as I got pas Cumberland I started noticing things were different from what I remembered. The train stations all had different names, some of the wild and hard to remember. Suddenly, the train had two tiers, one for local and one for express. Knowing I did not want to go all the way downtown I got off and went down an electric ramp to get to the local trains. The first one shut its door on me after my wife got on. The train was also much taller than the ones currently in Chicago, looking more like the commuter trains. I hopped on the next one not knowing what stop to get off at, but started talking with this family only to accidentally ride it all the way downtown, through the loop and then back out to my destination near Wicker Park.
This dream may symbolize a sense of disorientation or confusion in your waking life. Landing in Chicago and taking the blue line may represent a journey or transition you are currently experiencing. The fact that the train stations have different names and the train itself has two tiers could suggest that you feel unfamiliar or out of place in this new phase of your life.
The struggle to get on the local train and the door closing on you may reflect difficulties or missed opportunities you have encountered recently. The taller train resembling commuter trains could symbolize a sense of being overwhelmed or feeling the pressure of responsibilities.
Conversely, the accidental ride downtown and through the loop could represent going along with the flow and surrendering to unforeseen circumstances. This may indicate that sometimes it is necessary to let go of control and trust the process, even if it takes you away from your original intended destination.
Overall, the dream could be suggesting that you are experiencing challenges in adapting to changes and making decisions in your current life situation. It may be helpful to reflect on these feelings of disorientation and consider seeking support or guidance to navigate through this period of transition.
